UPITS 2026 Day 1: Greater Noida Trade Show Opens With Global Buyers, 2,400+ Exhibitors and Major Business Focus
GREATER NOIDA, September 25, 2026: The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 officially began on Friday at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, bringing together manufacturers, exporters, MSMEs, international buyers and business representatives from across India and overseas.
The five-day exhibition is being held from September 25 to 29, with the opening ceremony attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The event is aimed at connecting Uttar Pradesh's entrepreneurs and exporters with international markets.
Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath Inaugurate UPITS 2026
Amit Shah inaugurated the fourth edition of UPITS in Greater Noida, with Yogi Adityanath and other state ministers and officials present at the opening ceremony.
The event's theme is “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here”, reflecting its focus on sourcing, exports, manufacturing and international business connections.
During his address, Shah highlighted four factors he described as important for attracting investment: law and order, an industrial policy favourable to businesses, an active government and an approach focused on supporting industry. These remarks were part of his broader address on Uttar Pradesh's investment environment.
2,400+ Exhibitors and Hundreds of International Buyers
One of the biggest highlights of Day 1 is the scale of participation.
More than 2,400 exhibitors are taking part in the 2026 edition. Organisers expect around 1.5 lakh business buyers and more than 4.5 lakh general visitors during the event.
International participation is also a major component, with 600+ international buyers from 85 countries expected, while registrations had already come from buyers in 72 countries before the opening.
The exhibition is designed to provide businesses with opportunities for B2B meetings, export connections, investment discussions and international market access.

Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state's efforts to connect its entrepreneurs and traditional industries with global markets.
The trade show features products and businesses from sectors including agriculture, automobiles, defence, IT, healthcare, tourism and renewable energy. The event also continues to showcase the state's One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.
A new “One District, One Cuisine” initiative is also being showcased, adding Uttar Pradesh's culinary heritage to the broader product and cultural presentation at the trade show.
UP's Export Numbers in Focus - UPITS 2026 Day 1 Highlights
The trade show comes as Uttar Pradesh continues to highlight its export growth.
According to data reported by Business Today, the state's exports have crossed the ₹2 lakh crore mark. Gautam Buddha Nagar, which includes Noida and Greater Noida, accounts for nearly half of the state's exports at around ₹97,703 crore.
Other major exporting districts include Ghaziabad at ₹18,728 crore, Kanpur Nagar at ₹10,823 crore, Moradabad at ₹10,639 crore and Agra at ₹8,907 crore. Defence Manufacturing Gets Spotlight
Defence manufacturing was another prominent theme during the opening day.
Amit Shah highlighted the development of defence manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh, including the BrahMos facility in Lucknow and AK-203 rifle production in Amethi. He also referred to investment across the six nodes of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor.
The trade show's broader exhibition includes defence alongside manufacturing, technology, agriculture and other sectors.
B2B Meetings and Global Sourcing
UPITS 2026 is designed not only as an exhibition but also as a business networking platform.
Buyers and exhibitors can schedule B2B meetings through the UPITS app, while knowledge sessions, fashion shows and cultural programmes are also part of the five-day event.
For MSMEs, the platform provides an opportunity to showcase products directly to domestic and international buyers and explore potential export and investment connections.
