Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust Holds Crucial Meeting on Champat Rai and Anil Mishra Resignations

Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust convened a key meeting in Ayodhya on Monday to deliberate on the resignations submitted by General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra. The meeting comes amid an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities related to donations received for the Ram Mandir.


According to Trust sources, the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra were among the primary agenda items. Both leaders had stepped down on moral grounds after the donation-related controversy surfaced and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted to investigate the matter. - Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust Meeting


During the meeting, trustees also reviewed the progress of the SIT's interim findings and discussed measures to strengthen financial transparency and administrative accountability within the Trust. Senior members emphasized the importance of maintaining the faith and confidence of millions of devotees associated with the Ram Mandir.


The Trust also discussed future management of the temple, financial records, unaudited income and expenditure statements for the previous financial year, and other administrative matters related to the functioning of the organization.


Ahead of the meeting, Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri clarified that he had no role in the daily counting of donations and stated that all valuables, including jewellery and silver bricks donated by devotees, remain safe and fully accounted for under the Trust's records.


The donation-related investigation has drawn nationwide attention, with authorities continuing to examine the allegations and identify those responsible. The Trust has reiterated its commitment to cooperating fully with investigating agencies and ensuring complete transparency throughout the inquiry.


The outcome of the meeting is expected to play an important role in determining the future administrative structure of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust while reinforcing public confidence in the management of one of India's most significant religious institutions.
