But current techniques of farming won’t be able to cater the desired need ,not even close to suggested numbers. Thus we have no choice but to rely on Artificial Intelligence for scalability as well as efficiency. 1. Tackling labor : It is evident that today less people are entering farming profession so there is shortage of workforce in this area. This labor shortage can be curbed by AI based agribots, small tractors ,which can augment the labor workforce and other activities. This bots uses AI techniques such as computer vision for image recognition ,processing and Deep Learning models such as Convolution Neural Network(CNN) for making decisions . The CNN model can be trained on a large image dataset to classify a weed from a non weed . This bots can then be used to harvest the crops at higher volume than labors ,accurately identify and discard weeds and can work round the clock .Also those bots can be trained to classify a full ripe fruits from a semi ripe fruit precisely and pluck only ripe fruits .This can be implemented on a large farms and thus save a lot of labor hardship . 2. Crop yield prediction: Farms can produce a huge amount of real time data on daily basis such as weather conditions, temperature ,soil moisture content ,water usage etc. Using Machine learning ,branch of AI one can visualize ,analyze this data properly and can determine patterns, correlation and come up with insights which can help farmers optimize planning their crop choice for more yields and utilize resources in proper way. All this data can then be used to train a Machine Learning regression model . Once a model is trained ,now you give it those features /data which is collected and then model will be able to predict future crop yield based on current conditions.
